As a cancer survivor, I was honoured to be able to talk to a room of donors and help them understand that their generosity goes to helping people like me survive.

I was 33 when I was diagnosed with cancer. I did the treatment and lived to tell the tale. Right now the world is facing critical health problems. So what can it learn from my near death experience?
